Orphanage open in Nairobi

Dear Friends,
We have 14 children age 3-7 years in the orphanage "House of Hannah" operating in Nairobi under the guidance of Bishop Philip Karanja. Pastor Peter, and their ministry team at Victory Times Ministry. Hawn International Missions has partnered with Victory Times Ministries in Kenya to build a safe haven for orphaned and destitute children from the slums of Nairobi. Many of these children have no one to care for them, some have a parent sick or dying from Aids - they are abused, abandoned, without hope. We are providing that hope with housing, food, clothing, schooling and the knowledge of the love of Christ for these precious ones.

You can help. We have sponsors so far for 3 of the children and by the end of February we need to find sponsor's for the other 11. We can take in as many as 40 children in the facilities we now have, but we need sponsor's!

For $40 / month, about $1.33 a day, You can be the life saving salvation for one of these children. You will receive letters, feedback, and the satisfaction of knowing that your gift is saving a precious life for the Glory of God. This is personal to them. Each child will know their sponsor and know that someone in the world, a world very far away has been touched by the Lord to help.
Pray, ask for guidance, and if your heart is touched, call me and I will let you know how to get started. Do not delay. We can only continue to care for these children with the proper support. We can do so much with so little. You be the blessing! Call Mike at 907-841-8224.

New Grain for Kenya

We are looking into the possibility that the cultivation of a new plant, Amaranth, may potentially allleviat much of the starvation in West Pokot. This week we are disusing links with the Uganda Amaranth Project to bring this amazing plant to West Pokot Kenya. Pray with us that we can partner with this organization to help the Pokot farmers on a new and exciting venture. We will keep you all posted! Pray for wisdom and Divine guidance.

Pray for Health

Leroy Hawn, the President of Hawn International Missions, is home and has had shoulder surgery last week. He and his wife , Mary, plan to return to the Pokot people in Kenya as soon as the doctors release him. Pray for supernatural and speedy recovery, healing and full function to his arm. Two other couples are considering joining the work there in West Pokot. One of the couples will be traveling to Kenya with them and looking for God's leading in this work. Pray that the Lord will send in the needed help to carry on the work when Leroy and Mary are no longer able to go. Pray for God's strength and a long, healthy life for both Leory and Mary.
